JESUSTREE

A God and Us Project

"But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses."

- 1 TIMOTHY 6:11-12

INTRODUCTION

A VACATION BIBLE STUDY CAMP DESIG-NED SPECIFICALLY FOR YOU.

JesusTree Camp is designed for young adults (grade 7 through college students) to learn about the Bible by studying a series of famous biblical figures and how to live out the Words of God in everyday lives.

Each participant researches and presents his or her finding to the group, and everyone takes turn to teach or clarify each other if there is misunderstanding--this ultimately results a self-motivated study pattern.

The curriculum of the camp is divided into a three different steps. The first step goes over 26 famous biblical figures from both the Old and New Testament. The figures that were not covered in the first step are studied in the second step. The last step is a massive overview of the entire 66 books of Bible, explicating each individual book and review-ing what has been taught in the past steps.

Many students have gone through significant positive changes and also were challenged after they have experienced the camp. A problematic child both parents and the school gave up started to focus in school and students who never sought God began to devote himself to live out the Words of God. There have been many other miracles and God’s work in our camp that we continue to expect more.

AGENDA

JesusTree Camp is held biannually, every summer and winter. We take turns to hold the camp in either South Korea or the United States. Please keep your eyes out for the next camp and its location.

Although holistic spiritual training is the goal of the program, there will be many other fun factors such as local touring, eating multinational food, etc. that will spice up the program.

CURRICULUM

From Genesis to Revelations, we picked 26 biblical figures most students know already. A thorough overview of these characters will provide knowledge and wisdom each character teaches us.

1.

As Step 1 only covers so much, our next level encompasses learning about biblical figures that often do not get the most attention. We will familiarize with the lives of these lesser-known or less mentioned characters, and study what we can also learn from them.

2.

After biblical figure studies, we will take a look at each book in the Bible. The 66 books will all be separately studied in-depth, which gives us a full view of giant picture God painted. Since this is quite a task, this level will be divided into two different camps.
